Trading & Listing Guidelines

How high-value iron changes hands here.

These guidelines keep BUYSELLMARKET a transparent, good-faith exchange for buying, selling, and leasing industrial power and datacenter equipment. Accurate nameplate specs, honored offers, and settlement through escrow protect every counterparty.

Trading Standards

What every counterparty commits to

Nameplate Accuracy

Ratings, operating hours, and condition grade are stated as they are — the listing is the underwriting document, not a photo.

Good-Faith Offers

Deposit-backed offers reflect real intent to transact. Accepted offers and their deposit terms are honored on both sides.

Provenance & Title

You list only assets you own or are authorized to sell or lease, with clear title and disclosed decommissioning history.

On-Platform Settlement

Coordination, deposits, and payment run through the exchange and its escrow — never off-platform, around the deposit or the umpire.

Listing Standards

Every listing is an underwriting document

Buyers commit capital against your listing before they ever see the unit. State the specs a technical buyer would verify at inspection.

A complete listing states

  • Nameplate ratings (MW/MVA/kV as applicable), and operating hours or run-time

  • Condition tier — New-Surplus, Overhauled, or As-Is — and any refurbishment scope

  • Commissioning records, test reports, and inspection history where available

  • Provenance: prior service, decommissioning basis, and clear title

  • Lead time, load-out point, and freight/rigging responsibility

  • Included spares, controls, documentation, and export-control status

Never in a listing

  • Misstated nameplate ratings, hours, or condition grade

  • Stock imagery in place of photos of the actual unit and its nameplate

  • Falsified test, commissioning, or inspection records

  • Assets you do not own or are not authorized to sell or lease

  • Concealed damage, prior faults, or decommissioning defects

Trading Conduct

Good-faith dealing, offer to settlement

Do

  • Respond to RFQs and offers promptly — high-value deals move on tight windows

  • Place deposit-backed offers you intend to honor at the stated terms

  • Honor accepted offers, deposit terms, and preferred-buyer commitments

  • Keep specs, freight, rigging, and lead-time coordination in-platform

  • Meet agreed inspection, load-out, and commissioning windows

  • Communicate any delay or scheduling change immediately

Don’t

  • Solicit or agree to settle off-platform or around escrow

  • Walk an accepted offer without honoring the deposit terms

  • Publish inaccurate availability, lead times, or nameplate data

  • Pressure a counterparty to close before inspection or commissioning

  • Abandon confirmed load-out or lease-return windows without notice

Prohibited & Restricted

What may not be traded here

Restricted — disclosure required

  • Units sold as-is, non-operational, or for parts — clearly disclosed

  • Assets carrying export-control, PCB, or hazardous-material handling requirements

  • Equipment with incomplete provenance or missing commissioning records

  • Leased units returned outside nameplate duty cycle or agreed condition

Prohibited outright

  • Stolen, counterfeit, or misrepresented equipment

  • Assets failing safety or export-control requirements

  • Improperly decommissioned, hazardous, or unsafe units

  • Equipment infringing intellectual property or licensing

  • Listings built on falsified nameplate or test records

Enforcement

When guidelines are broken

Reports are investigated with the evidence on record. Escrow holds while any dispute is open, and the umpire process resolves asset discrepancies for both sides.

Warning

01

A first minor issue — an incomplete listing or a missed window — draws a warning and a request to correct it.

Suspension

02

Repeated issues, or a serious one, suspend trading privileges while the account is reviewed.

Removal

03

Fraud, misrepresentation, off-platform settlement, or unsafe assets end in permanent removal from the exchange.

Reporting

Report a violation

Help keep the exchange trustworthy by flagging listings, counterparties, or conduct that break these guidelines. Every report is confidential.

Report a Listing

Flag inaccurate nameplate data, falsified records, or a prohibited asset directly from the listing.

Report a Counterparty

Report off-platform settlement requests, misrepresentation, or pressure to close before inspection.

Contact Trust & Safety

For anything else, reach the team directly. Escrow holds while a dispute is open.
